Food is an integral part of our society for socialization, fulfilling nutritional needs, or just because we are “Foodies.” Due to this, it is essential for college and university dining to not only keep pace but to become cutting-edge. Stevens Dining has established a program that features balance, nutrition, versatility, and enthusiasm. Continue reading to learn how to use your meal plan to its full potential.

 

Ordering Methods

Mobile Ordering- To avoid long lines mobile ordering through Grubhub is available at all Stevens Dining Locations. Order ahead from anywhere and have your food ready and waiting for you by the time you get to the dining hall.

 

Delivery- Get your favorites from the comfort of your room or office. Stevens Dining is now offering delivery from all locations throughout campus for a small fee.

Mobile Ordering To avoid long lines, mobile ordering through Grubhub is available at all Stevens Dining Locations.

 

  • Order your food from anywhere on campus and we will get working on it right away. When it is ready for pick up, we will send a notification to your phone!

Technical difficulties 

Please make sure that Grubhub is updated with the latest version of the app and if that doesn’t work; delete and reinstall the app. If you continue to experience these issues feel free to talk to a manager, send us a chattback, or send us an email and we will try to accommodate/resolve the issue to the best of our abilities.

Types of Swipes

  • SNACK   Snack Swipes can be utilized for a full breakfast in Pierce or via a snack meal exchange throughout the day at America’s Cup, Pierce Cafe, UCC Marketplace, and Cannon Cafe. (snacks include: breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, pastry & fruit, granola bar & beverage, yogurt & water, oatmeal & cereal cups, fries, chips & guacamole, and many more). Snack options will be labeled in their category in Grubhub, as well as on the regular menu boards. Snack swipe items will also have an identifiable sticker attached.
  • REGULAR –  Regular Swipes can be utilized for all non-breakfast meals at Pierce Dining Hall and all full meal exchanges at retail venues.
  • Duck Bills- DuckBills is a prepaid, dollar-for-dollar, declining balance account housed on your Stevens DuckCard that may be used to pay for purchases at participating on and off-campus merchants. For more information visit the Stevens Online DuckCard Office

Grubhub Dining Dollars

Grubhub Dining Dollars- A new innovative feature added to the meal plan that can be used on campus and at any participating Grubhub Vendor in your area. These were previously known as premium swipes, but now they can be used anywhere. The options are endless.

Use It, Don’t Lose It

 Meal Swipes and  Dining Dollars will not roll over into the Fall 2021 Semester and will expire after the Spring 2021 semester. 

How do utilize all of my swipes?

  • Dining Deals- These include and are not limited to cookie decorating kits, bubble tea, treat boxes, and so much more
  • Permanent Promotions- Students can order whole Pizza Pies from the cashier at Pierce Dining Hall. Students will also have the opportunity to buy from a select list of bulk items. 
  • Follow us on social media for more deals throughout the semester.

Bulk Items 

To use your meal plan to its fullest potential, Stevens Dining offers a list of bulk items where students can use their extra meal swipes to purchase items.

  • Case of Water
  • Case of Bubbly
  • Case of Ramen
  • Case of Nutrigrain Bars
  • Case of Pop Tarts

Stevens Dining has been honed to fit all guest’s needs. Incorporating local businesses into our dining plan, New Jersey produces into our Exhibition station, and menus that highlight plant-based proteins have garnered positive feedback from guests. Not only do we get a view of the New York City skyline but a trend-focused menu

Pierce Dining Hall


Throughout the stations, with a variety of healthy snacks, fruits, and baked goods, our guests can dine based on plentiful choices. Understanding you could get bored of any restaurant, we incorporate weekly and monthly features to give a change of pace in the all-you-can-eat dining room. We allow meal exchanges in all of our retail locations, food trucks, and even privately owned businesses in the Hoboken Community. With 119 operating hours per week and 235 service days, we work diligently to be fresh, unique, and delicious.

These Stations include and are not limited to: Build your Omelette station, Pizza, Build your Pasta, Exhibition station, Deli, Salad Bar, Comfort Line, Rotisserie Line, Grill, G8 (allergen friendly room), and dessert. Pierce Cafe

Our residential dining hall guests have the option to visit Pierce Café for a select line of drinks from Peet’s Coffee included in their meal. You are also able to order from our full retail menu which includes a full line of Peet’s espresso drinks, hot and iced coffees, bottled beverages, sandwiches, and snacks.  Pierce Café is now utilizing mobile ordering through Grub-hub to help make your dining experience as efficient and contactless as possible. UCC Marketplace

Colonel Johns has a unique duo location that includes specialty burgers from Grill Nation and Latin-inspired flavors from Sono.

Grill Nation- is a fresh, contemporary brand with a bold and playful personality. Customers can choose their type of patty and all desired components, including buns, cheeses, toppings, and sauces. At Grill Nation, customers are given full creative control of their meals. Our customizable burger menu offers a long list of premium ingredients, allowing for numerous combinations. Customers can choose their type of patty and all components, including buns, cheeses, toppings, and sauces.

Sono- we celebrate Latin American cuisine by combining the different ingredients and cooking styles. The concept speaks to delicious Latin American cuisine that is simple and fresh. You are given full creative control of your meal at Sono, allowing for numerous combinations. Choose between tacos, burritos, ensaladas, rice bowls and quesadillas. 

Halal Stall- Enjoy healthy delicious food to your table without the guilt. Cultivated through a lifetime of exquisite and authentic Afghan cuisine The Halal Shack combines the best of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors with a classic American spin for an experience that can only be described as pure deliciousness.

Piccola Italia- From the garden to the oven, Piccola Italia will keep you coming. Reducing the distance and time food spends on its journey from the soil to the plate is the benchmark for all Italian chefs. Buying the freshest, the peak of the season produce is a habit that is closely observed for every meal. Piccola Italia stations include authentic Italian dishes such as Flatbreads, calzones, sandwiches, pasta, and more!

America’s Cup

Starbucks® Need a study break? Come on down to America’s Cup! Located on the first floor of the Samuel C. Williams Library; America’s Cup is the perfect place to relax with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Here we proudly serve Starbucks Coffee and an array of decadent pastries. Stop by today to see what all the buzz is about!

Create®- crEATe is a concept that emphasizes YOU creating your meal the way you want it, right in front of your eyes! In a salad or a wrap – it’s all about customized choices. Made with simple ingredients that are healthy, delicious, and affordable. Some of our items are locally sourced when available, some are organic, and all are fresh and of the best quality we can find. Finish off your salad or wrap it with great dressings, marinades, and sauces! The possibilities are endless, with over 29 ingredient operations to choose from, you will never have to eat the same wrap or salad twice.

Nutrition and Wellness Program

Stevens Dining’s Nutrition Services are designed to broaden the college community’s knowledge of health and nutrition while expanding palates and improving food choices. Our full-time dietitian fosters an environment with the tools essential for a healthy diet and assists students in meeting individual dietary needs. Designed to have a broad impact on the entire campus community, our Nutrition Services are led by nationally accredited Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist Karly O’Brien, MS, RDN. Karly specializes in food allergies, culinary and sports nutrition, and weight management with a passion for educating others on the topics of food, nutrition, and overall wellness.

Dining Accommodations

 Stevens Dining is committed to tailoring dining accommodations for our guests’ dietary needs, preferences, and food allergies on a case-by-case basis.

G8 Station-Allergen Friendly Dining

Available in the Pierce Dining Hall (Room to the left in the entrance). This station includes a balanced, rotating menu, prepared and cooked without the use of the eight major allergens (Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Milk, Eggs, Fish, Shellfish, Soy) + Gluten. The mission of this station is to meet the dining before food allergies, sensitivities, and other dietary restrictions in a controlled, safe environment.
